Several other people commented on this, and, yes, removing the women from the cover was the hardest thing for me to give up (especially because the women play such essential roles in the stories, and they continue to do so throughout the series). Hunky men tend to sell, so we’re going to give this a shot for now, but this is a very valid point

This can be a difficult element to balance because some readers like to see all of a hero’s face, and others like the mystery that goes along with a face being partially concealed.
